We have several gatherings and workshops planned for members this year at Sweetwater Farm

We want to tempt you out to the farm so that we can become a closer community.

The calendar will be updated as needed. You will also get reminders in the newsletter. Email Lynn at farmers@goodfoodeasy.com for signup and more information. 

Current members have priority. If they don't fill the workshops, non-members are welcome for a fee.

3/19/11   This year’s shiitake mushroom growing workshop happens Saturday 3/19 from 10AM till about 1:30. We will be drilling and inoculating oak logs. We will be under cover but it could still be wet and cool so dress accordingly. Waterproof shoes are a good idea. We will need a couple of folks with rain gear to pressure wash logs. Potluck lunch with John making pizza in the wood fired oven. $10 for members and $25 for nonmembers. Please sign up by email, space is limited.

7/23 Garlic Harvesting 10AM
Good Food Easy/Sweetwater Farm Garlic Harvest  Saturday 7/23   10AMHelp us harvest your garlic and hang it for curing in the barn. Bring the family, sturdy shoes, and work gloves. Please leave Fido at home.
Want to skip the garlic harvest work? That’s OK, too. All members are most welcome to show up for post garlic harvest farm tours and John’s wood-fired oven pesto pizza commencing about 12:30.Please bring an appetizer/salad/snack to share. I-5 to Creswell exit, west on Oregon Ave which becomes Camas Swale.  7 miles to Weiss Rd, turn left—first driveway on the rightOr Territorial Rd. to Hamm Rd., east over the ridge, right on WeissDO NOT GET WRITTEN DIRECTIONS FROM MAPQUEST OR YOU WILL BE 2 HOURS LATE!

Sweetwater Farm’s Pesto and Salsa workshops, Saturday, 8/27

$5 per person for each workshop - Email to sign up

Size limited, preference given to current members 

Pesto workshop begins at 11AM. We will provide all the makingsYou will go home with the recipe and a container of pesto.Following, there will be pesto pizza for lunch. 
Salsa workshop begins at 1:30PM (after we have pesto pizza,
so show up about 12:30 for the pizza)
You will go home with the recipe and a container of salsa.

Sweetwater Farm’s Pepper Roasting, Farm Tour, Potluck,
Wood-fired oven Pizza 
Saturday, 10/8     11AM-2PM
Members are invited to help us roast peppers
to freeze for winter shares
Bring a dish to share and we'll make pizza in the wood-fired oven
Tour the fields and green houses at 11:30 and 1:00 to see what's in store this fall/winter

Sweetwater Farm's Kraut Making Workshop

Learn how to make your own naturally fermented foods
