We at Sweetwater Farm are offering shares of our grass fed, grass finished Angus steers.We expect they will be every bit as high quality as our '08 beef.

ABOUT THE BEEF:

*  The steers have been on chemical free pasture for over a year.

*  Their diet has been fresh pasture forage with a hay supplement in the winter.

*  There will be NO grain finish

*  Before cutting and wrapping, the beef will dry-age for 3 weeks - a     traditional practice very hard to find these days.

*  While the butcher shop is federally inspected, there is no federal    inspector on site — for that reason we must sell the beef to you as    shares while they are still on the hoof. For the same reason, you can not resell the meat (the packages will be stamped ’not for resale’)

*  The shares are 20 lb. and will be roughly 1/3 each of ground meat, steak, and roast/ribs (20 lb. of frozen meat is very dense and doesn’t take as much freezer space as you might imagine).

*  You need only give us a $1 deposit on your share at this time.

*  Because the beef are still in pasture, we don’t know what the ultimate cost to us will be so can not set a price on the shares though we estimate about $6/lb. for the 20lb. box above. No problem if you decide you don’t want the share you reserved.

We anticipate the shares will be ready in early November.

We have only 2 steers left and expect to sell out rather quickly at that price.
